Dr. Martin Ma
After immigrating to Canada, Dr. Martin Ma, the founder of the Sustainable Health Center, was inspired by his father, Dr. Chin Chin Ma for his achievement in Traditional Chinese Medicine and following his footsteps in providing healthcare services. He graduated from PCU College of Holistic Medicine in the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner Program in 2007 and registered in B.C. as an acupuncturist since year 2008.

MAS Sustainable Wellness Center continues to promote traditional Chinese medicine as the core, integrating physical therapy, dietary therapy, and various self-exercise methods to achieve a healthy state of physical and mental balance.

Dr. Martin Ma is committed to promoting traditional Chinese medicine in British Columbia and its recognition. In addition to managing the clinic operations and conducting medical consultations, he also served as secretary and board member for the Canada Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners HQ Association from 2017 to 2022, with duties to coordinating continued education in professional upgrading training courses and affiliating with government regulatory institutions. In October 2022, Dr. Martin Ma was elected as the elected representative board of directors in the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncturists of British Columbia for the term of the year 2023 to 2025.

While working at the CTCMA, he realized that the development of traditional Chinese medicine has reached a point where it must be integrated with the primary healthcare system and other medical professionals to deal with the new challenges arising from the current healthcare crises. Integrating with different healthcare professionals and allocating resources, sharing, and supporting each other will become a new trend in the future healthcare system. Dr. Martin Ma accomplished his study in the Global Healthcare Leaders Program at Harvard Medical School in 2023, where he learned about new artificial intelligence technology and the future development prospects of new entrepreneurial teams. There are also many new insights into the system development and integration of the healthcare system.
At the same time, it also benefited from the interactive learning among Harvard peers, and the understanding of leadership skills and the growth of interpersonal relationships have also been substantially improved. In March 2024, it was nominated by the Health Forum 2.0 and was awarded the honorary title in Las Vegas, USA. The City of Vegas presents the 2024 Outstanding Leaders in the Healthcare System Award.
